Not only will you see May flowers springing up, you will also start seeing more Bicylist popping up on your drive.

As May opens the roads to safety for pedestrians and bicyclists. The Susanville Police Department encourages you to get out and get active. The Department will conduct Traffic safety operations to help drivers focus on pedestrians and bicyclists while making turns, yielding, speeding, and stopping promptly for red lights and stop signs. For those on bicycles, the department advises you to use a light at night, wear a secured helmet to avoid possible head injuries, travel in the same direction of traffic, have the same requirements as any slow-moving vehicle, and yield to those walking as they do have the right of way with marked and unmarked intersections.
