Susanville Police Department Announces No Shave Campaign

Susanville Police Department has announce No Shave Campaign.  The annual Susanville Police Department’s Office “No Shave” campaign has begun.  Once again, Officers and non-sworn staff are putting down their razors, letting down their hair to raise money for a variety of causes.  The “No Shave” campaign is open to all Police Department employees on a month- by-month basis over the next three months, in exchange for a monthly charitable donation. Public Safety Chief Bollinger has authorized male officers to grow facial hair outside standard grooming policies.  Female officers are allowed to have relaxed hair standards which includes ponytails and dyed hair and allowed to wear certain types of jewelry.  Non-sworn staff will be allowed to participate by growing facial hair, having relaxed hair standards and relaxed uniform standards.

The Susanville Police Department has chosen  a different recipient for each month and organization chosen for this year’s campaign are:

October: Norther California Cancer Advocates

November: Lassen County Holiday with a Hero

December:  Camp Ronald McDonald at Eagle Lake
