A new patrol truck joins the Susanville Police Department. Chief Cochran unveiled the new vehicle at the City Council meeting. Yet for some the purchase of a new vehicle for one of the departments that could face cuts seems like money not put to good use as the city faces a budget deficit in its general fund. City Administrator Dan Newton address those concerns sharign the city has other designated funds such as fees that come from tickets issued by the police department. These funds has allowed the Police Department to make the purchase of this new vehicle. You can expect to see the new truck out and performing traffic enforcement in the coming days.
