Today the Susanville Planning Commission will be reviewing the city‘s current ordinance of commercial cannabis within its limits. The city’s Ad Hoc committee comprised of various city staff to include the city planner, code enforcement officer, both police and fire chief, and city administrator has prepared a final report of the industry that will be shared with the planning commission. A change to the current city code would address the cannabis industry and how the various types of cannabis activities may look, if allowed in Susanville. In addition the City council meets this Wednesday to consider approving this revised ordinance on the regulation of Commercial Cannabis Activities. The Planning commission will hold their special meeting this evening at 630 at City Hall and the City Council will consider the ordinance approval Wednesday at City Hall at 5pm.
