Susanville Police Officers are about to get a little scruffy as Chief Cochran announces the department will participate in No shave November. For the entire month, officers joining the movement won’t shave or groom to spark conversation and raise awareness for cancer. By letting hair grow wild and free, the cause supports Cancer patients who often lose hair to treatments. By putting down the razor and hair care, what is typically spent for upkeep, is collected and donated to the cause. The Susanville department collected funds during the month will be donated to a local charity.
