Susanville police department’s new motor officer teamed up with the CHP’s motor officer this Tuesday in an effort to deter speeding and increase Main Street’s safety.

The collaborative traffic enforcement lasted 6 hours through the afternoon and evening. A total of 20 stops were made with 11 tickets handed out and one misdemeanor drug arrest. K-9 Officer Zeke also assisted in this traffic enforcement operation, making the drug arrest possible by altering officers to the drugs.

The departments were able to conduct the operation with Funding provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
