Susanville’s little league will host its 2nd annual opening day parade.

The season has had a mucky start, as winter weather left fields snow-covered and soggy, unable to kick off practices on time. Yet as the sun comes out this week, fields are drying up, welcoming the over 400 ball players.

The City council approved the opening day parade for Saturday, April 15th. You can expect to see a brief road closure from Laurel street at the Tractor Supply parking lot to Riverside drive to River street. The Susanville Fire department will again park the iconic new ladder truck at the entrance of the Pat Murphey little league fields, with the American flag draped from the 100ft ladder for teams to walk under, officially starting the season.

A time for the parade has yet to be determined.
