This Saturday, the annual open house at the Susanville Fire Department is back in support of the National Fire Protection Association’s “Cooking Safety Starts with You” Campaign.
According to statistics from the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), cooking remains the leading cause of home fires and home fire injuries, accounting for half of all such incidents in the United States.
You can mark your calendars as the department invites you and your family to participate in the educational event centered around kitchen safety.
The open house will kick off at 10 am and run until 2 pm on Saturday, October 14th.
