Next Wednesday the City of Susanville will discuss the budget and the expenditure reduction plan. Since measure P, the sales tax increase of one percent passed in the primary election with a vote of 54%, you can hear how the city plans to implement phase 2 of the expenditure reduction plan as the updated and council-approved April plan did not account for any additional cost savings or revenue increases, which the sales tax increase is expected to bring 1.75 million dollars of revenue into the city. This will be discussed during the Budget preparation progress report from city staff. The council will meet Wednesday, June 15th at 5 pm at City Hall.
