Susanville’s City Council will take another stab at the city administrator’s expenditure reduction plan. A draft of the plan was first proposed in September of last year but was voted down in a 3-2 decision in November after a period of public commenting. Now that same plan has been modified to address the length of time between starting phase 2 and phase 3. This was the council’s main concern when voted down. The city is desperately in need of direction as it cannot continue to operate at its current service levels without increases to revenue. The council will hear a discussion of the new plan this coming Wednesday, April 6th at the city council meeting set for 5pm. You can attend in person or virtually through the city’s administrative website.
