Susanville’s City council will start November off with a light agenda for next Wednesday’s meeting.

The council will consider three new business items. These include Councilmembers allocating their discretionary funds for Magical Country Christmas and the county fairgrounds—Councilmember Schuster: $500. Councilmember Stafford and Mayor McCourt will contribute $1,000.
The funds go towards Magical Country Christmas Fireworks and a picnic table at the County Fair Grounds.

Planning Commissioners will also seek to retain their seats on the Planning Commission board. Commissioners Tony Ardito and Rod DeBoer have expressed their interest to continue serving following a solicitation call from the city. The Council will have to authorize to renew of both terms.

The Sacred Heart Church has also called upon the council to allow for a street closure for their annual procession to honor the Lady of Guadalupe on Sunday, December 10. This procession would begin at noon and take approximately twenty to thirty minutes. If approved, this would lead to the closure of Nevada Street from N. Roop Street to Weatherlow Street and Union Street from North Alley to North Street.

The council will be considering these items on Wednesday, November 15th, beginning at 5 pm in City Hall.
