The Susanville Police Department was heavy on patrols throughout town yesterday as part of the Office of Traffic Safety Grant the department received. Patrols began at 9am and lasted to 1 in the afternoon. Officers were on the lookout for distracted driving, as well as violations that can cause collisions. The patrols were successful in completing 14 traffic stops, with 7 citations issued. The goals of the saturated patrols were to help make your community a safer place to walk and drive.
