A stolen vehicle reported out of Susanville was recovered this week after a pursuit involving the California Highway Patrol’s Red Bluff Area.

According to CHP, officers located a stolen Lincoln Navigator that had been reported missing from Susanville. When officers attempted an enforcement stop, the driver failed to yield, leading to a pursuit.

The pursuit was brought to an end shortly after it began when a CHP officer successfully deployed spike strips, disabling the vehicle. Officers were then able to take the driver into custody without further incident.

The suspect was arrested and booked into the Tehama County Jail on multiple charges.

CHP officials say the incident highlights the importance of coordinated enforcement efforts in recovering stolen property and holding suspects accountable when they attempt to evade law enforcement.

No additional details, including the suspect’s identity or specific charges, were released by CHP at this time.
