Motorists Should Prepare for Delays as Emergency Restoration Effort Begins
BUTTE COUNTY – Caltrans is alerting motorists that State Route 32 (SR-32) reopened last Thursday, August. 15, in the Park Fire area. The Park Fire has burned over 429,388 acres and is 53% contained, with 4,260 personnel assigned as of this morning.
Motorists should prepare for one-way traffic control in some sections due to emergency restoration efforts. The restoration work includes hazard tree removal and disposal, guardrail repair, erosion control, and sign replacement. Expect delays along SR-32 and allow extra time for travel or consider alternate routes. Currently, there is no estimated duration for delays encountered during one-way traffic control on SR-32.
