Be ready for congestion through the spaghetti bowl this week as more work forces lane closures.
The Xpress project has been underway for nearly a decade. You will continue to see traffic delays through the year 2039, according to Nevada’s department of transportation as the final touches are completed. This week crews will be working on neighborhood walls and traffic striping, impacting your commute to the airport and major shopping hubs in the greater Reno area. You will see lanes closed eastbound and westbound on 2nd street and between the southbound and northbound I-580 ramps between the hours of 6 am to 5 pm. Work is expected ot be completed by Friday. The I-580 ramps will also be closed tonight and overnight on Thursday. You will also encounter lane reductions through east and westbound Mill street between Kietzke lane and Greg street through Friday between working hours.
