Plumas County’s school trustee redistricting, following the 2020 census, has caused some trouble with ballots.
Thirty voters in the Graeagle area have received the wrong ballot due to the updated boundaries. Plumas County Clerk Marcy DeMartile said the elections office discovered that these ballots “did not include the Trustee Area which [voters] are eligible to vote on.” Yet, the ballots have been updated, and the correct ones have been sent out to those voters.
Voters registered in East Quincy to Graeagle fall within Trustee area 5 and will be voting for one of the two candidates, incumbent Leslie Edlund or challenger Coby Hakalir.
