Some Calling for a Plumas County Woman to be Charged with a Hate Crime for Vandalism on Quincy Mural

Some are calling for a Plumas County woman to be charged with a hate crime for vandalism. A woman, who is unidentified, in the middle of the night was located by the Plumas County Sheriffs after a report of a very visible native mural in downtown Quincy had white paint strewn across it. A deputy and sergeant located a woman with matching paint on her clothing, yet after investigations she was arrested on unrelated charges. Her charge of vandalism will be brought up to the District Attorney’s office for review. If you witnessed the vandalism or have any information you are asked to call the sheriff’s office at 283-6300.
