You will see smoke coming from the Honey Lake Wildlife area today. Calfire Lassen-Modoc Unit along with the Standish Volunteer Fire Department and the Department of Fish and Wildlife will be reducing fuel loads in the area. The burn is part of a habitat improvement project near Wendel Rd. Be aware there will be multiple fire engines and crews in the area. Smoke may reduce your visibility through the area. The burning will continue into tomorrow.
