Sierra Pacific Industries Stirling District Foresters Jonny Freitas and Salvador Ramirez visit trees planted 5 years ago on lands burned by the 2020 Bear Fire. These impressive Douglas fir measure 14’ and 16’ feet. Bear Fire restoration efforts wrapped up earlier this spring with over 8.4 million seedlings planted in forests in Butte and Plumas Counties.
