Crescent Mills Brownfield site moves into phase 4 of the redevelopment project that began three years ago. The Sierra Institute has been working on cleaning up the historic lumber mill to redevelop the site into a wood products campus. Some areas of the site are already being used to support biomass use and to also speed up the Dixie Fire recovery process. The Sierra Institute will be applying for an EPA Brownfield cleanup grant to help fund further efforts to clean and redevelop the site. Your input on the grant application is needed. You can view the draft documents at SierraInstitute.us or at their office located in Taylorsville.
