Sierra Army Depot to welcome 45th commander
HERLONG, Calif. – The U.S. Army’s go-to organization for unique sustainment solutions and responsive materiel readiness is preparing to introduce the 45th commander in the depot’s 83-year history.
Lt. Col. Jason Haynes will hand the command guidon back to Maj. Gen. Michael Lalor, commanding general of U.S. Army-tank Automotive and Armaments Command. Maj. Gen. Lalor will then hand the guidon to Lt. Col. Shivnesh Kumar signifying his assumption as Sierra Army Depot’s 45th commanding officer, during a ceremony at the Sierra Army Depot parade field, June 10, 2025 at 9 a.m.
