Seneca Healthcare District will be holding a neighborhood discussion forum about the new hospital builds status. The current hospital building dates back to the 1950s when it was built and does not comply with a Senate bill that has new requirements for earthquake standards. Retrofitting the hospital is not an option as it would not make financial sense. In eight years hospital services will stop if the new build does not happen. You can hear about what stage the new build is currently at as well as planned milestones, and estimated timelines of the build. That will be held next Tuesday at 6pm at the Mt. Lassen Theatre.
