The Seneca Healthcare District (SHD) has announced the formation of the Seneca Healthcare Foundation (SHF), a new non-profit organization aimed at supporting the District’s goals and mission. The foundation will be managed by a five-member board, which includes SHD CEO Shawn McKenzie, who will serve as President of SHF, along with Steve Boline, Traci Holt, Tracey Smith, and Chelssa Outland.

The foundation’s initial focus will be fundraising for the new hospital facility to meet the community’s evolving healthcare needs. “Launching the foundation is a significant milestone for our hospital and our community,” said McKenzie, adding that the support from the foundation will help build a healthcare facility that serves residents well into the future.

The SHF board members bring a range of expertise to the organization. McKenzie has extensive experience in hospital and clinical operations. Boline, SHF Treasurer, serves as SHD’s Chief Financial Officer, overseeing financial management. Holt, SHF Assistant Treasurer and Secretary, has a workforce development and strategic planning background. Smith, SHF Secretary, recently retired from a 30-year career in banking and community service. Outland, SHF’s Executive Director, is also SHD’s Director of Marketing and Public Relations, with a focus on fundraising and community engagement.

The foundation aims to operate with transparency and encourages community involvement in its initiatives. For more information or to support the foundation, visit Seneca Healthcare Foundation’s website or contact their office directly at (833) 227-3743 ext. 1600.
