With the conditions on the roadways recovering from the deluge of snow, Plumas Unified School District and Plumas Charter Schools have announced that there will be no school today for a third consecutive day.

Superintendent Bill Roderick said the cancellation decision was made so crews can clear campuses, roads and streets, as Student and staff safety is always of focus.

LCC has canceled classes for today as well; The college says due to the unrelentless weather experienced, heavy snow and ice, bringing safety concerns, and hazardous road conditions, the campus will be closed. Still, online classes will be scheduled as usual.

FRC will continue closures as well and anticipates re-opening tomorrow.

Janesville Elementary has also closed school for the day, while Susanville School District, Johnstonville, Shaffer, and Lassen High schools will be on a 2-hour delay start. Shaffer family’s school pick up will be at 3 pm.

Richmond Elementary is on time.
