Following a long winter Caltrans rest stops are opening back up.
You can now access The Lake Almanor Safety Roadside Rest Area on highway 36. In addition to being closed for the winter, work was also being performed to improve the well and water quality.
The L.T. Davis Safety Roadside Rest Area near Beckwourth, along highway 70 has also reopened with water tank repairs completed.
