Over 15,000 travelers are expected to hit the runways at the Reno International Airport for the busiest travel holiday of the year.
Airport officials say the busiest days are expected to be today, November 22, and Sunday, November 26.
If you are headed to your flight today, the airport shares a few travel tips to ensure you don’t arrive late to the Thanksgiving Feast:
Arrive at least two hours before departure
Allow extra time for parking and rental car returns. The airport conveniently has real-time parking availability and flight status updates.
There is continued construction at the Reno international airport, so be aware of all signage; curbside drop-off may be best suited to get your loved ones and friends off to thier destination rather than parking.
If you’re responsible for the Thanksgiving Turkey and flying, the TSA says that’s not a problem. Your cooked bird can tag along in your carry-on at the airport, and you can even Stuff your carry-ons with stuffing! Pumpkin pies, green beans, and mac and cheese can accompany you, but a reminder: anything containing liquids must follow the 3-1-1- rule.
Happy flying, visit the Reno Airport official website for more travel help this holiday season.
