Red Kettle Campaign Continues Strong in Lassen County, Cobi Challenge Helping Reach 32K Goal

The Susanville Salvation Army is nearing its red kettle campaign goal, and if you’ve been following along, the Cobi Challenge has been helping reach that mark.

The weekend started with a grand total of just over 15,000 dollars raised since the campaign’s launch, and it ended with gaining another over 3000 dollars.

This year, young Cobi has aimed to double the donations he collected last year; his progress is already surpassing the halfway mark, and he only has 500 dollars more to go. He will be out at the Susanville Ford Santa’s Village this weekend trying to get just that.

Slots for bell ringers remain unfilled. If you wish to help the Salvation Army reach its 32,000 dollar goal, you can call the offices at 530-257-0314. If you can’t donate your time, the non-profit could always use your donation of candy canes that can be dropped off at the offices located in the Grocery Outlet Shopping Center.
