Ranger-led Snowshoe Walks Return to the Lassen Volcanic National Park

SHARE NOW

Park officials say this is an opportunity to journey through the snow, immersing yourself in the winter landscape of the Volcanic park while gaining valuable insights into winter ecology. No prior snowshoe experience is required, as snowshoes will be provided for those aged eight and older.

The walks are scheduled every Saturday and Sunday at 1:30, contingent on weather conditions. It is important to note that heavy snowfall and high winds associated with an incoming winter storm may lead to the cancellation of the walks. Walks are planned through the last weekend in March.

For additional information, you can visit the ranger-led programs page on the park’s official website. Stay updated on current conditions by checking the National Park Service Website
