A Quincy man, David Hyde, was arrested after starting fires in burn piles at his Genesee Valley road home. His property remains within the mandatory evacuation ordered area. Hyde also prevented fire crews from putting out the fires and intervened several times, even spraying crews with his garden hose, as they attempted to access the Dixie fire that was burning behind his property. He was arrested for being within an evacuated area and taken to the Plumas County Jail.
