You could win a specialized rake for pine needles at this month’s Quincy Firewise meeting. The committee is holding this month’s meeting this Wednesday where you can hear Quincy Firewise updates, and Greg Kinne, a former contractor and active Plumas Underburn Cooperative member will give a presentation on defensible space and home hardening. Greg will also discuss the defensible zones, and appropriate vegetation spacing and can take your questions. The Quincy Firewise will meet at the west end theater in Quintopia from 5 to 6 pm this Wednesday. If you cannot plan for this meeting, the firewise committee meets every 4th Wednesday of every month.
