Quincy Firewise is asking for all of Quincy to join the organizations second monthly gathering. Each month the firewise council meets to give you information about your home insurance, how you can prepare for evacuations, harden your home to wildfire, and create a defensible space. The Plumas Underburn Cooperative will also be in attendance to help you with burn tips. The Quincy Firewise is a local volunteer group who wants to create a more fire-aware and fire-prepared community. You can attend this next gathering this Wednesday from 5-6 p.m. at the West End Theatre inside Quintopia in Quincy.
