Quincy CHP launches a program for senior volunteers. The Quincy CHP office is looking for our community’s most motivated seniors who want to give back to the community. Volunteers would help the CHP office in both administrative and field duties to help enhance public service. If you are a senior looking for ways to give back and keep busy the CHP would have your help to file, input data, answer phones, and complete other clerical duties. But if the office is not where you feel you’d be best you could also help the CHP with working at community events, directing traffic, conducting surveys in high-traffic locations, and more. You would even be given a marked CHP car and wear a volunteer uniform. If you think this might be for you, you do need to be 55 or older, be able to work a minimum of 4 hours a week and pass a background check. You will also be asked to complete the CHP Senior CHP Training Program. You can call Reid Mason at 283-1100 for more information, the Quincy CHP office will be conducting interviews starting in September.
