Alturas, California – Modoc County District Attorney Nina Salarno announces that Quentin Bocanegra has been held to answer following a preliminary hearing on all charged counts, enhancement and special allegations. The defendant was remanded into custody. The Court found sufficient evidence to hold the defendant to answer on felony violations of Penal Code section 422(a) (criminal threats) and Penal Code section 646.9(a) (stalking), along with several accompanying special allegations. Additionally, the Court held the defendant to answer on the enhancement alleging two prior strike convictions, rendering
the matter eligible for sentencing under California’s Three Strikes Law.
The next court hearing is scheduled for April 16, 2026, for Arraignment on the Information.
