The Lassen County Public Works Department will be completing its chip seal project in the area on through the end of the week. Crews will begin street sweeping operations at 6:00 AM each morning. That work will create heavy dust in the air, and you will also see some traffic control causing short delays.
Half of Paul Bunyan from Ash street to Skyline has been paved. That work will continue into tomorrow. The lane is closed to traffic. You can plan on alternative routes to avoid significant delays. Work will be taking place during daylight hours. Plan on heavy traffic during school and work commute times. The city public works department will move to Spring Ridge Drive by Banner Lassen Medical Center once work completed on Paul Bunyan.
