Lassen Municipal Utility District and Plumas Sierra Rural Electric customers experienced a power outage Monday night due to a fault on a Pacific Gas and Electric transmission line.
According to LMUD, about 10:30 p.m. LMUD reported it is experiencing a system-wide outage caused by a fault in PG&Es transmission line. Due to the sudden nature of the outage, HLP is offline and receiving power from them is not an option at this time. LMUD is in contact with PG&E, however we do not have an estimated time of restoration. We will update this post as information becomes available.
LMUD did not have any new information to report about 11:35 p.m.
About 1:05 a.m. LMUD reported, PG&E has located the cause of the outage. LMUD is working to restore power to our customers. We believe all customers should be back in power within two hours.
LMUD reported power was restored to all customers about 2 a.m. The publicly owned utility asked customers whose power has not be restored to call (530) 257-4174.
PSREC reported it also is experiencing a system-wide outage due to loss feed from PG&E.
