A Portola man has been sentenced to life in prison. Lee Edward Roe, a 55 year old man from Portola was convicted of a felony for sexual acts with a child under 10 after investigations confirmed Roe was involved in photographing the underage victim as well as engaging in sexual acts. Roe was discovered after a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing Exploited children was received by the Plumas county sheriff’s office in the fall of last year. Plumas DA, David Hollister said the sentence for Roe of 15years to life in prison is the highest sentencing allowed by law.
