The Nov. 8 General Election is just a little over a month away, and by next week ballots will begin to hit your mailbox. The League of Women Voters of Plumas County is holding an opportunity for you to hear from local candidates.
From 7 to 9 pm this evening, you can hear from the candidates running for the Portola City Council, the Sierra-Plumas Joint Unified School District – Trustee Areas 2 and 4, and Plumas Unified School District – Trustee Area 5. The forum will be held at the Portola Veterans Memorial Hall, beginning with the school board candidates and concluding with the city council race.
