Chester has an opportunity to share input on changes that may be coming to Highway 36, that also serves as the town’s Main street. The community is asked to join an open house event to discuss roadway improvements. The Plumas County transportation commission is hosting the project information meeting to welcome your opinions and ideas on how to improve the roadway. With Caltrans’ Sustainable Transportation Planning Grant Program the Plan aims to transform Main Street with the addition of sidewalks, bike lanes, crosswalks, and ADA Accessibility improvements. If wish to see these changes of think the hwy should remain the same you can share your thoughts at your pick of two sessions, at 1030am or 4pm, this Tuesday at the Almanor Rec Center.
