Plumas bakers, get your famous cookie recipes out; the Plumas Sierra County Fairgrounds is kicking off the first annual “Best of” Contest Tuesday, December 6. Judges will determine the Best cookies in Plumas County. All the details and an entry form can be found on the Fair website: www.plumas-sierracountyfair.net, or you can go to Sav Mor foods and pick up an entry form there. You can drop off your entry form before Tuesday, or bring it with your cookies between 4 pm and 6 pm to the Fair office, right by the Main Gate. The winner gets a rosette, a commemorative plaque, and a $100 gift certificate to Sav Mor Foods. Bake up a batch of a dozen cookies and take your chance at the title.
The next competition will be in January for Best Cornbread.
