Deadline nears for Disaster relief assistance from last winter’s late-season storms in Plumas County.

Through the small business administration, homeowners, renters, businesses, and non-profit organizations, including places of worship that had damage to their property from February 21 through July 10, from the Severe Storms, Winds, Flooding, Landslides, and Mudslides can apply for the federal disaster loans.

Funds can be used to repair or replace the disaster-damaged property. SBA can also assist with the cost of improvements to protect, prevent, or minimize the same type of disaster damage from occurring in the future.

The deadline for Physical Damage Loans is October 10, while for Economic Injury Disaster Loans, the deadline is May 9 of next year.

SBA has established a Virtual Disaster Loan Outreach Center to answer any questions, explain the application process, and help you complete your application. You can visit the small business administration website for more details.
