HomeLocalPlumas National ForestPlumas National ForestWed, July 14, 2021SHARE NOW Forest friends, this past year has been challenging with COVID restrictions, the North Complex Fire, a windstorm over the winter that killed hundreds of trees in Little Grass Valley and now extreme fire danger and drought. If you are packing up for a visit to Little Grass Valley Reservoir in the coming months, please be prepared for several changes in the campgrounds. At Little Beaver, Red Feather and Running Deer: ***CAMPFIRE AND DRY CAMPING ADVISORY*** Due to drought conditions, NO WATER WILL BE PROVIDED. Please come prepared with enough water for consumption, to cook and clean with too. Portable toilets and hand washing stations will be provided. CAMPFIRES AND CHARCOAL BBQS ARE PROHIBITED per Forest Order 05-11-00-21-10. A portable campfire pit, stove or lantern that uses gas, kerosene, jellied petroleum, or pressurized liquid fuel, with a shut-off valve, in an area at least three feet from any flammable materials are allowed for use within the campground. At Horse Camp and Wyandotte: There is limited water available at these campgrounds due to drought conditions. Please use this water sparingly. Make sure to bring plenty of drinking water from home and fill your RV or trailer tanks up before you arrive at the campgrounds.
