Plumas National Forest wants your thoughts on its grant proposal to the California Off-Highway Motor Vehicle Recreation Division (OHMVR). You can take a peek at its preliminary grant applications from today until 5 p.m. on May 6, 2024.

They’ve got two applications in for OHV Ground Operations and Law Enforcement projects. Basically, they’re looking for support for trail maintenance, patrols, and other items related to OHV trails in the Plumas National Forest.
From now onwards, you can check out the Forest’s preliminary grant application on the state parks website:https://olga.ohv.parks.ca.gov/egrams_ohmvr. Once you’re there, the menu has all the details on Public Review Instructions and Reviewing Preliminary Applications.

Acting Deputy Forest Supervisor Bernadette Barthelenghi mentioned they’re keen on hearing your thoughts. OHV use is a popular recreational activity throughout the Natioal forest, and forest officials are hoping to secure some funds to keep the trails to the highest quality. If you want more details about the California OHM VR program, again, visit the OHV division on the state parks website.
