The Plumas County Sheriff’s Office has apprehended one of its own. Deputy Bryson Taylor, who was recently hired to the department, is now facing charges of felony vandalism. The arrest followed a call to the dispatch center reporting a disturbance at a home in Quincy.
Although specific details regarding the incident remain undisclosed, the Sheriff’s Office has confirmed that their deputies responded promptly to the call, which was followed by an extensive investigation, ultimately leading to the arrest of Deputy Taylor. He is set to be confined in a correctional facility located outside the county. Furthermore, he has been placed on leave from his responsibilities as a deputy.
The department says it “stands firm in its commitment to transparency” and the cultivation of public trust. It emphasizes that any form of misconduct is vehemently condemned and contradicts the organizational code, which enforces the highest standards of conduct among personnel. The Sheriff’s Office adds it will uphold these principles as it continues to fulfill its mission.
