Plumas County invites the community to help plan for future droughts and improve the community’s water resilience at an upcoming online meeting Jan. 28 from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
Organizers say attendees can learn more about the county’s draft drought resilience plan and provide their input on strategies for small community water shortage preparedness. The way droughts may impact the local water supply in the future is another topic that will be addressed.
Plumas County is developing a county drought resilience plan to help small water systems and domestic wells owners better prepare for future droughts and water shortages. Organizers point out that being prepared helps reduce hardships and improves the community’s water supply resiliency. This meeting will present the draft plan and solicit feedback from community members and interested parties.
