After nearly a week in the dark Plumas County homes rang in the new year with the return of power. Most homes in the Quincy and Keddie area had power by New Years Eve at midnight. Strawberry Valley and Clipper Mills were restored by Saturday. PG & E Crews came across hazardous ground conditions and access issues that caused the week long retoration efforts. The use of a helicopter was needed to assist in those repairs. Yet for the remaining 360 homes in La Porte who still have not been able to turn their lights back on, are expected to have power by this evening.
