Plumas County Approves New Garbage Pickup Contract with Rate Increase Through 2032

Plumas County has approved a new contract with Feather River Disposal for garbage pickup and curbside recycling in downtown Quincy and East Quincy.

The Plumas County Board of Supervisors voted unanimously on April 7 to replace the previous agreement and extend the contract through July 1, 2032.

This contract covers both residential and commercial waste services. Under the new terms, rates will increase by 5.83%.

For example, monthly fees for a 64-gallon trash can will rise from $31.49 to $43.68.
