Portions of Plumas County need to plan for an extended planned power outage this Saturday.
A planned 8-hour power outage will shut off the lights for a small portion of Plumas County on Saturday.
PG&E will replace two power poles, reroute a power line, and prune trees near power lines. The planned outage will begin at 9 a.m. and last until about 5 p.m.
The outage will affect a total of 700 customers, yet in Plumas, only the area of LaPorte will be affected. The other areas include Clipper Mills and Strawberry Valley.
If you are one of the homes to experience the outage, you should have received a letter in the mail. PG&E will also be making automated phone calls.
The outage will begin at 9 am on Saturday, February 17th.
