PG&E Undergrounding Projects Cause Delays on Key Routes in District 2

PG&E is progressing with undergrounding projects along key routes in District 2. Motorists should expect potential delays in the following areas:

Highway 70 (Plumas County)

  • Bucks Creek 1101: Work is ongoing from east of the Butte/Plumas County Line to west of Storrie, with possible delays of up to 15 minutes, Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
  • Bucks Creek 1102: Projects are continuing from west of Storrie to east of Caribou Road, also with delays of up to 15 minutes during the same hours.

Gansner:

  • Work is taking place between the Greenville Wye (junction of Highways 89/70) and Keddie. Roadway restorations are expected to finish by late July, with possible daytime delays of up to 15 minutes.

 

Highway 89 (Plumas County)

  • Crescent Mills (Permit work): Ongoing construction between Greenville and the Greenville Grade is expected to continue through early fall, with no main lane closures anticipated.
  • Greenville (Permit work): Construction is occurring south of Greenville Dump Road to east of Standardt Mine Road, primarily affecting shoulders with minimal traffic impacts. Temporary traffic control may lead to delays of up to 15 minutes, Monday through Friday during daytime hours.
