PCH Scam Spreads in Susanville

A Publishers Clearing House scam is spreading throughout Susanville and the Police Department is urging you to not fall victim. Calls have come in around the city and county that a scammer is claiming you have won a prize when you answer and begin to ask for your banking information to send a payment for a processing fee. The department says that should always be a red flag. Per the Publishing Clearing House website, they do not authorize calls to prize winners, and that all winning is free.
