If you will be travelling the skies this Thanksgiving the Reno-Tahoe International Airport continues to have a parking crisis. Flyers are met with parking lots at capacity with little overflow areas. An airport spokesperson says the airport has taken steps to help their flyers this holiday with the launch of a new real time parking availability feature directly on the landing page of their website. As of this morning 60 spots remain in the long term garage and a mere 3 spots are left in the long term surface lot. An overflow lot will be opened when necessary with signage and attendants to help you get where you need to go. Spokesperson for the airport also said the airport has an agreement with the Reno Sparks Convention and Visitors Authority to provide a shuttle service when absolutely needed. In response to asking if the airport is working on solving the parking shortage, the airport is currently conducting a land side survey, to identify any land the airport owns that is currently undeveloped to build a better parking solution.
